Behind the Camera

Throughout my career I have consistently worked with photography and photographers selecting and commissioning the right images for magazines, publications and my articles, whilst using and taking my own pics when the opportunity arises! With a trained commercial eye and my formal photography study at art college (back in the days of the darkroom), I have had a constant 'itch' that hasn't let me put a camera down since I was a kid. Photography, like a faithful hound has always been by my side. 

I still remember my excitement when my photography enthusiast father would teach me as a girl to use his film SLR. I remember the weight around my neck, the complexity of the dials and numbers, how precious it was (the fear in my dad's eyes when he thought I may drop it) and how the images appeared afterwards like magic! That child-like anticipation and magic, like opening your presents at Christmas, I still get today. 

I love combining my photography with my editorial work, (there’s always beauty where words and pictures collide) and working on photographic briefs whether it be editorial, travel or landscapes.
